College of Agriculture, Shimoga started in 1990 for B.Sc(Agri) course as part of ruralization of agricultural education under the University of Agril.Sciences, Bangalore and became part of the University of Agril. & Horticultural sciences, Shimoga from September 2012.The college campus is located at Navile about 5 km away from Shimoga town on Savalanga road. It is an education zone next to JNNCollege of Engineering and opposite to Bapuji Ayurvedic college . The campus has an area of 78 hactares with Zonal Agril. and Horticultural Research station and Krishi Vignana Kendra. The campus also has Areca nut research centre funded by Areca marketing societies in 2001 and diploma in Agril. Extension services for input dealers(DEASI) on self sustaining mode.
